Twitter’s Integration With Bitcoin Lightning Network Will Bring Global Crypto Community Together
‘Strike’ is a global payments application that was founded by Jack Mallers. The digital payments application made its partnership with Twitter this week. The main objective of this partnership is to make tipping possible on the social networking site. The users will be able to download the application from the AppleiOS from this week. The users of Twitter believe that such an application was bound to be introduced at one point or the other.
The people who access this application are going to have the upper hand over others in many ways. Speaking on the matter of the recent partnership, Jack Mallers recently revealed many important and unique features of the application that set it apart from the conventional payment applications like Cash app and Venmo.
Founder Of Strike Claims That Twitter Can Become The Platform For Global Crypto Interaction
Jack Mallers claims that the benefits of the partnership with Strike are far-reaching. He claimed that at present, the users of Twitter could process their tips with the help of the payment applications like Cash app by Square and Venmo by PayPal. He further explained that at present, the users are unable to reach out to the users outside of the United States.
However, with the help of the Strike extension, it will be possible for the users to send their tips to all parts of the world. The current payment options that are affiliated with Twitter are unable to integrate with the banks of the users who are present in other countries. With new features, the users will be able to send and receive money across borders and have a wider engagement due to the huge interactive community at Twitter.
Mallers is the founder of the Strike app. Addressing the matter of crypto-related regulations of the US government, he claimed that it is not going to be a countable factor. He explained that the users who want to send or receive tips would be using the fiat currency of their choice like USD, Yen, or others as the direct mode of the transaction. There is no need to add or subtract cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin in the process.
It means that the lightning network is going to serve as the pathway for making global and digital financial transactions possible. Even if the government decides to take a turn for the worse in terms of the crypto-related regulations, it is not going to affect the services that are provided by Twitter in association with Strike. Additionally, this new feature has also added another use case for the Bitcoin network, and the service is free of cost for the time being.
