Lionel Messi to Receive his Welcome Bonus in Cryptocurrency

Every football fan knows the biggest star athlete Lionel Messi. Fans all over the world were heartbroken when the celebrity sports person announced that he is leaving Spanish club Barcelona after a long and successful tenure. Many media outlets reported that the Barcelona club did not agree to keep Messi around even after he offered to halve his income.

However, the French Club Paris Saint Germain (PSG) has been quite accommodating in welcoming the football star. The PSG club paid the Argentinian Soccer player a welcome package valued at $29-$35 million. An article from Reuters confirmed that a significant portion of this welcome bonus consists of the fan tokens native to the sports club.

Fan Tokens are Becoming more Popular

Recently, fan tokens have become quite popular among fans of football in the region. The clubs like Manchester City and AC Milan have started to allow the biggest fans of their league to purchase these fan tokens and get a chance to vote for minority decisions relevant to the club policies. As per the PSG club management, when news about Messi joining the team became public, the fan tokens went in high demand. Sports fans all over the world wanted to find these tokens and get a chance to become partners of the club that employs a star athlete like Messi.
